SPEEDING JACKASSES
You can drive 55, even if you are Sammy. The fact that you did not get up early enough or leave the house on time does not mean you have the liberty to drive faster than the speed limit. YOU ARE A MORON. I don't want to hear crying from anyone. A Driver's License is essentially a promise to the public, at large, that you can operate a motor vehicle within the parameters of the traffic laws established by the state that issues the test.
Most Traffic Laws are established as a courtesy to other drivers, including the passing lane. If someone is driving faster than you, IF SAFE, change to the slower lane, out of courtesy and safety. These idiots passing in the slower, open lane are both dangerous and should be removed from the road for speeding and being stupid. People who drive slow in the fast lane should be banned from the Interstate as well.
Despite how well one can drive is irrelevant. I can drive above and beyond the abilities of the car. I can also drive beyond the limits of the road, the tires, the engine, the brakes and very well above the abilities of some other drivers. This is the problem. A sniper isn't just someone who can shoot a rifle, a driver isn't someone who can merely operate a car.
I sincerely believe in traffic cameras, radar guns and checkpoints. If you can operate under the assumption that you did not get caught and then speed whenever you are not being watched, then you should not be trusted with a license, children, money, or even relationships.
Also: No matter how skilled one is at driving, the ability to read the minds of other drivers is rather rare...Hence, vehicles in the proximity of speeders are inherently in the Danger Zone!
